The most common forms include sinus headaches and migraines. There are four different sinus cavities found within the human head:

1.Behind the eyes
2. Inside the cheekbones
3. Behind the bridge of the nose
4. Behind the forehead

Typically your sinuses drain through your nose. When a sinus cavity becomes blocked due to allergy, fluid and pressure can build, causing facial pain and/or headaches. Sometimes these allergy-triggered headaches are accompanied by itchy watery eyes, sneezing or runny nose.

Some evidence suggests that food allergy, sinusitis and allergic rhinitis may be triggers of recurrent or persistent migraines for some people. Migraine headaches tend to be throbbing, one-sided headaches that are aggravated by light and accompanied by nausea. Some migraines can be provoked by food additives or naturally occurring food chemicals in non-allergic individuals.
